Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Today NSW Health announced that as of 6pm tonight 'stay-at-home' rules will apply to the LGA of Lismore for one week.
These stay-at-home orders also apply to anyone who has been in the Lismore LGA since 7 September due to recent COVID-19 exposures.

NSW Health have directed that, 'Parents and carers must keep children – across primary and secondary school – at home unless they need to be at school.' As such, attendance at school will continue to be limited to children of essential workers.

There will be a small number of staff on-site at school to supervise students during the last day of term. Online learning and the school canteen will not be operational tomorrow.

These new restrictions sadly mean that our planned ‘Graduation Celebrations’ for the Year 12 students’ will now be postponed until Term 4.

It has been a challenging term for families. We appreciate and applaud the support, effort and patience you have needed to employ in order to manage work, studies and intense family pressures. I know I speak for all the staff at SCC how disappointed we are to not spend the last day of Term 3 with your children, particularly our graduating Year 12 students. We were so happy to see them all again and feel the buzz of excitement throughout the school as they reconnected with their friends and teachers. We can be thankful that we had at least a few days to be reunited prior to the school holidays. Please take time to relax and enjoy your family (yay! no schoolwork!) and we look forward to a fresh and exciting start to Term 4 on Wednesday 6th October.

May God richly bless, protect and bring peace to your family,

Lisa Roach
Acting Principal
