Summerland Christian College is excited to announce the $900 000 Capital Works Funding to support the new $5million expansion of our Secondary School. 

Our College has experienced strong enrolment growth in recent years. This expansion will include the following 21st Century flexible learning spaces:

  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)
  • Visual Arts
  • Drama
  • Music
  • General classrooms
  • Food Technology
  • University style common areas
  • Cafe area
  • New parking and drop off zones


Principal David Roach is looking to the future, saying “This is the biggest expansion the College has ever undertaken and will help us cater for over 750 students. Flexible learning spaces will allow for 21st Century learning; built to allow creativity and collaboration. Research shows these flexible learning spaces are the future of education.”

The classrooms are designed to create different environments with digital and wireless connections, movable furniture and whiteboard topped tables. Created around the concept of natural light, airflow and passive solar design, these classrooms feature views out to the Border Ranges and to the coast.
