Term 1 Start Date

First day of Term 1, 2019, is Wed 30 Jan, classes commence at 9:10am. 

Office Holiday Hours 

The School Office will be closed from Monday 24 December to Friday 11 January inclusive. 
It will reopen on Monday 14 January but you are advised to ring first to make sure that the staff member you are after is available. Thank you for your attention. 

Uniform Shop Holiday Hours

OPEN TUESDAY 29 JANUARY 8:30-11am (regular hours).
During the holidays, the School Locker will open their doors here at the school for one morning only - Tuesday 22 January, 9am-1pm. Regular hours will resume Tuesday 29 January (8:30-11am).

If the above opening hours do not suit you, there is always the option of heading to the School Locker’s shop front in Ballina, which will be open regular trading hours seven days a week, ready and able to meet all your uniform needs.

Sara McDonald (Year 5) flew to Melbourne late last month (November) to compete in the Australian All Star Cheerleading National Championships, together with Bella Williams (Year 8), Laura Bryce (Year 12) and NCG cheer team.

The 2017 Johnny Warren Futsal Cup was held this past weekend, on the Gold Coast.

Congratulations to Hayley Oakes of Year 8 who recently represented Summerland in the inaugural 2017 Schools National Championships presented by Bond University.

'The Summerland Bush Dance' was an amazing success with around 700 people attending!

STEM is a program within the school that identifies gifted students and extends their education to include project-based lessons that explore scientific and engineering principles.

As part of our History and Geography unit, Year 3 has been learning about the different types of farms in the Northern Rivers and how our food is processed from the ‘Paddock to our Plates’.

Recently, as part of our circle geometry studies, Gen8 Math students stretched their brains by competing in a “Pi” competition.
